In 1990 the Village Veterinary Clinic (established in 1968) was purchased by Dr. Mark Liberto, a Maryland native. His vision was to bring what was Gaithersburg’s first small animal hospital into the 21st century, offering advanced diagnostics like ultrasound and radiology and complicated surgical procedures typically only provided by specialists. He hoped to ensure that as many pets as possible were able to receive high quality services at reasonable costs, and rechristened the Lake Forest Animal Hospital. Today, we have significantly expanded both our client base and our range of services and medical capabilities while maintaining a personal and individualized experience.
