The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Full Salary Range Minimum: $110,000.00 Maximum $120,000.00
Job Summary Position reports to the Associate Dean of Clinical Services/Director of the Pet Health Center and ultimately to the Dean. The faculty member will primarily participate in providing high quality clinical services and clinical instruction during urgent care hours in the Pet Health Center on the Pomona campus. Other clinical and instructional duties may be assigned depending on interest, availability and need.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Individuals must possess the knowledge, as well as the following skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Knowledge of and experience with small animal veterinary clinical medicine and surgery- Experience with student training and supervision - Ability to orally communicate with others, both in person and by telephone. Ability to effectively interact with administration, faculty, staff, students and outside contacts. - Knowledge of educational needs for contemporary veterinary practice.
Required Qualifications - DVM degree or equivalent and license to practice in California. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications Three years of small animal clinical experience or experience in veterinary emergency care.
