Pleasant Plains Animal Hospital, located in Staten Island, NY is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our expanding 7 doctor multi-location clinic. PPAH is a privately owned general practice that offers an extensive range of services for our patients and clients. Both our locations are equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, surgical suite, dental station and a spacious treatment area. This allows our doctors to treat a wide array of ailments, providing urgent care and life saving medical intervention for their more complex cases. Our staff is dedicated, talented and compassionate and our clientele values progressive and preventative medicine. PPAH Doctors have additional support with a 3:1 technician to Doctor ratio. With our experienced technical team providing hands-on case management, we ensure our DVMs have protected time for client communications, peer-to-peer case discussions, continuing education and more.
For any newly graduated DVMs looking to join our team, we provide a one-on-one mentorship program that is tailored to your needs. Over the course of your mentorship you will work through 4 intensive modules with your mentor(s) covering client communications, systems operations and flow, internal medicine and surgery. We want you to feel empowered to practice medicine in a way that is fulfilling and satisfying!
It’s important that our team has time to recharge when not providing care to their patients. With a 4-5-day work week, rotating at both locations, and working 35-40 hours per week on average we want our doctors to make time for themselves! Both locations are open 7 days per week. The hours are as follows:
South location- Monday-Friday 9am-9pm, Sat/Sun 8am-6pm
North location- Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, Sat 9am-6pm, Sun 10am-4pm.
We have technicians at the south location overnight to assess and direct any emergencies our patients may have.
