The University of Florida Small Animal Hospital seeks a highly qualified and experienced Director of Veterinary Technicians to lead a talented pool of veterinary technicians in our 100,000-square-foot facility.
As the Director of Veterinary Technicians, you will work closely with the Associate Dean for Clinical Services – SA to develop and promote recruitment, retention, and well-being strategies for our veterinary technicians. You will also facilitate veterinary technician development through our comprehensive education programs.
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a master's degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience, a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and eight years of relevant experience, or a credentialed veterinary technician and/or VTS credentialed and eight years of relevant experience. In addition, strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to triage, plan, and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment are critical for this position.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing a large team and expertise in a veterinary teaching hospital.
