Critter Care Animal Hospital is a privately-owned, one-doctor practice started in January, 2018 serving dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, and birds in Centennial, CO. Approximately 50% of our patient base are species other than cats and dogs.
We have grown rapidly and are seeking to add an Associate Veterinarian. The ideal candidate will have excellent client interaction and communication skills and have at least several years of experience practicing veterinary medicine with a variety of species beyond cats and dogs.
Some things about us:
We believe in practicing excellent medicine. We have full anesthetic monitoring equipment, including capnography, state-of-the-art dental and full-body radiology, therapeutic laser and a full in-house lab.
There are no corporate overlords here.
The practice is a Fear Free Certified Practice and was built with FF in mind – spacious waiting room, large, comfortable, and bright exam rooms, species-conscious caging.
All new hires are required to complete Fear Free certification within 30 days of hire and Fear Free is a way of life here – this improves job satisfaction and makes our workers comp insurance quite happy.
We have a high staff-to-doctor ratio so we have skilled people to support you (2.5 to 3 staff per doctor is a typical day).
We work with traveling board-certified specialists: radiology, cardiology and surgery are all available.
Appointments are 30 minutes per pet, you’ll never get swamped with a half hour triple-patient appointment.
Pay is straight hourly/salary and is commensurate with experience to start. We believe in paying for quality not production. Full or part time scheduling is available.
This is predominantly a medical position. Surgical and dental time can me made available for the right candidate, if desired.
