About the role
The ER Department Lead role will handle a mixture of clinical and administrative responsibilities, with two admin days and 10 to 11 clinical days per month (rotating each week between 3 clinical shifts or 2 clinical and one admin.) Two years of previous leadership experience preferred but not required.
The Lead is responsible for day-to-day workflow including, but not limited to: ER doctor scheduling, onboarding and training; facilitating regular department meetings; and providing mentorship and oversight to both doctors and support staff. In collaboration with the Medical Director and Hospital Director, ER DVM Lead strives to maintain a positive attitude, positive work habits and strong collaborative relationships within the department and with external services and rDVMs.
