The South Des Moines Veterinary Center team is looking for a full or part time veterinarian to join our INDEPENDENTLY owned, small animal clinic.  We love our team and our clients.  We’ve been here for almost 60 years and that’s not by accident. People love us and we are good at what we do.  We are not your typical clinic that shoves through as many appointments as they can; clocking the minutes each vet spends in an exam room.  We value work-life balance with a 4 day work week, no evening appointments and closed on the weekends.  No on-call required!  

Our clinic is growing and we will be opening a brand new building in 2023 with state of the art exam rooms, surgery rooms and lots of space to grow.  This includes allowing buy in potential for our associate veterinarians.  We want you to feel as invested in our team as we are!  

- 4 day work week 

- Sweet hours- 8:30am -6pm

- $2000 paid CE annually

- Paid IVMA and AVMA dues

- Paid DEA number

- Retirement plan contribution with company matching funds

- Scrubs and lab coats provided

- Applicants must be in good standing with the DEA, Iowa Board of Veterinary Medicine, and meet all licensing requirements for a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in the state of Iowa.
