About our Hospital:

• Dedicated surgical suite with surgical laser
• 6 full service exam rooms
• 1:1 Tech to DVM ratio and during busy times there is an extra tech/floater. (Several of our techs have 16+ years of experience!)
• Updated equipment including, full body digital radiology, K laser cold-therapy unit
• In-house laboratory with IDEXX chemistry and blood analyzers, Sedivu urinalysis and microscopy
• Full dental service capabilities including digital dental radiographs
• Expansive in-house pharmacy open to ADVM needs, online pharmacy for clients and compounding medications
• Mentorship offered to DVMs looking to strengthen their skill set, especially with surgeries
• Flexible schedule offered to best fit candidates needs, but all DVMs alternate/rotate Saturdays and have one assigned day off during the week days.

Geneva, IL is about 40 miles west of Chicago, a population of 22,000 and is one of the stops on the Metra line, making commuting downtown Chicago easy.  It is part of the tri-cities area located between St. Charles and Batavia.  We are a wonderful, vibrant city located on the Fox River.  There are numerous outdoor recreational activities, festivals, shopping, nightlife and dining available.

Skills and Basic Qualifications

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university. 
• Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed.
• Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
• Communication skills are essential to this practice setting and the clientele
• Strong desire to learn and perform surgeries ranging from spays and neuters, soft tissue surgeries, emergency surgeries (splenectomies, foreign body surgeries), interest in orthopedics is a plus.
