Yarmouth Veterinary Center is seeking veterinarians for both full-time or part-time positions. We are a progressive, family owned, 5.5 doctor practice that has been in Yarmouth, Maine since 1986. We're ideally located in the suburbs of Portland, along the southern coast of Maine. We are a very collaborative practice that is equally committed to our well-established and new clients alike, and as our collaborative nature lends itself to mentorship, we would welcome new graduates or experienced veterinarians alike. Our primary caseload is traditional small animal but we have several doctors that see a wide variety of exotic animals and would welcome a practitioner interested in learning more about them (although it is not a requirement). As a member of the team, all our veterinarians have access to top of the line dental machines and dental x-ray, digital x-ray, 2 ultrasound units, full endoscopy rig, surgical suite outfitted with CO2 laser and electrocautery, therapy laser, full in-house laboratory, pharmacy, and more. There are no on-call or emergency hours. Full-time veterinarians receive 2.8 weeks PTO, health insurance and we pay 85% of premiums, dental insurance available, matching retirement contributions, time-off and compensation for CE, AVMA professional liability coverage, reimbursement for DEA and state licensing, AVMA and MVMA dues, and steeply discounted veterinary care. As a family-run practice entering its second generation we are deeply committed to the family atmosphere established with our clients and employees.
