Associate Veterinarian
Manchester Animal Hospital
Dear Prospective Associate, My name is Corinne Lemay, and I am a Cornell Class of 2008 DVM graduate. Together with my colleague and business partner, Elizabeth Brown, Tufts Class of 2000 DVM graduate, we have recently assumed ownership of our practice, Manchester Animal Hospital, in Hooksett, NH. MAH is a small animal practice offering medical, surgical, and dental services for dogs and cats. We have worked at the practice for over 8 years, and we are seeking to fill the vacancy of the former owner who will be retiring. We are truly excited about the prospect of hiring a new associate. We are open to hiring a veterinarian with experience or a new graduate or intern as we know our practice is the ideal setting for mentorship. We are a modern practice equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, surgical suite, dental station, 5 exam rooms, and a spacious treatment area. Our staff is dedicated, talented and compassionate and our clientele values progressive and preventative medicine. We offer a 3 to 1 technician to doctor ratio and are fortunate to have a highly skilled technical staff who we can trust to assume a large amount of our patient care. The doctor makes the plan, and the technicians implement it. We all value a good work-life balance. Our doctors have a 4-day work week, rotate through Saturdays (open 8am to 12pm), and work 39 hours per week on average. We are open 7:30am to 6pm Monday through Friday. We utilize a local 24-hour emergency clinic for all after hours emergencies. Hooksett, is located in Southern New Hampshire, and is 45 minutes from Boston, the Seacoast, and the beautiful Mountains and Lakes regions of NH. Hooksett is a suburb of Manchester, the largest city in NH, which provides a plethora of dining, entertainment and cultural activities. As we are very open to new graduate applicants, I wanted to provide a special note about mentorship. I pursued general practice immediately following graduation, and I know all too well how important your first job can be. There is only so much that can be taught in four years of veterinary school, and so much more to learn after graduation. We are committed to helping a new graduate form a solid foundation for building a career as a small animal practitioner. We offer a competitive starting salary, bonus pay based on production once candidates are comfortable in their position, health insurance, liability insurance, 401K, generous CE allowance, employee discount, licensing and memberships. We would welcome the opportunity to meet any candidate with interest in our practice. We are happy to offer job shadow opportunities so that candidates can become well acquainted with our hospital before making any decisions.
We look forward to hearing back from anyone interested! Warm Regards, Corinne Lemay, DVM and Elizabeth Brown, DVM
