Responsibilities This position description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position. This document does not create an employment contract implied or otherwise, other than an “at?will” relationship. • As lead technician, plan daily surgery flow to ensure maximum efficiency while maintaining high standards in patient care. • Calculate and administer anesthesia and monitor animals under anesthesia. • Prepare all necessary instruments and equipment for surgery. • Assist veterinarians in surgical procedures. • Perform health assessments of animals. • Supervise and support volunteers and veterinary assistants. • Communicate with patrons clearly and professionally regarding surgery and post-operative care. • Maintain clinic and program records. • Contribute to and lead initiatives to improve processes and procedures. • Collect and prepare deposits and reports for accounting department. • Monitor and maintain clinic equipment and supplies. • Promote League programs and services to clinic patrons. • Operate League vehicles and coordinate maintenance and service. • Clean and maintain work areas and vehicles. • Perform occasional euthanasia and related tasks.
