Washington Blvd Animal Hospital is looking for an energetic and positive veterinarian. The hospital has been serving the needs of people and their pets in the Whittier area for nearly 70 years. We believe in offering our clients the best care at an affordable price. The hospital currently has nine doctors with 90 employees which creates many opportunities for learning and professional growth. We are seeking DVMs with a positive attitude and likes to work in a collaborative model with veterinarians, RVTs, and the entire hospital team. Experience is preferred, however all DVMs will be considered and are welcome to apply.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Diagnose, treat, and prevent an array of animal diseases and conditions;
Administer vaccines and client education preventing common diseases;
Perform elective surgeries such as spays and neuters;
Perform urgent and emergency surgeries and procedures;
Communicate with animal owners to answer questions and educate them on conditions, treatment plans and status updates;
Collaborate with all staff to provide top-notch care to clients and their pets.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Passion for animals and an active interest in their health and wellbeing;
Knowledge of veterinary best practices and a desire to advance the field;
Excellent verbal communication skills to build rapport and adequately communicate with clients and staff;
Problem solving capabilities with a willingness to tackle unique challenges;
High emotional intelligence with the ability to empathize with families;
Ability to manage time, prioritize and thrive in an oftentimes fast-paced and high-pressure environment;
Strong leadership skills;
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree;
Possession of current veterinary license and willingness to continually meet CE licensing requirements
1-3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting or animal hospital environment is highly preferred.
Additional Salary Information: Salary negotiable depending on experience, internship, additional training, ability to produce, etc.
