Our dedicated, enthusiastic team is looking for a veterinarian with at least 1 year of clinical experience to join us. Not only is our practice AAHA-certified, but we're also an AAFP Gold-Certified Cat-Friendly Practice. We utilize comprehensive Fear-Free and Low Stress Handling techniques to help our patients feel safer, which in turn makes for happier clients and happier team members. Not only do we pay for Fear Free Certification for our entire staff, we also provide hands-on training in understanding the signs of anxiety our patients are showing us and how to respond to them to help allay those fears.
Our patients benefit from in-house ultrasound, digital general radiography, digital dental radiography (dental rads are not optional--they're part of the package,) capnography, doppler BP, cautery, and surgical suction. We utilize Class IV Laser Therapy to treat arthritis, periodontitis, cystitis, gastroenteritis, otitis, intervertebral disc disease, and many other conditions.
All of our techs are CVTs and encouraged to pursue specialization in their areas of passion--HAPPY TECHS, HAPPY LIFE! We pay for professional dues, licensure, professional liability, and CE.
As a strong proponent of pet health insurance for our clients' pets, we contribute to pet health insurance premiums for our team members' pets as well.
If you believe you are a good fit for our practice, please email a cover letter and resume to Dr. Ilan Waskow at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Additional Salary Information: Pro-sal: Base salary plus a percentage of production. Group health and dental insurance. Employee pet health insurance. IRA match.
About Mile High Animal Hospital of Aurora
Our spacious, well-equipped practice in SE Aurora has been providing exceptional medical care and client service to the families in this rapidly expanding neighborhood since 2002. We moved into our new freestanding building in 10/12 and are growing annually. Our paperless records mean we don't wrestle with illegible handwriting, digital x rays allow for fast review by a radiologist, and our digital dental radiography helps us reduce the amount of time our patients spend under general anesthesia. Using technology for education and care isn't our most exceptional quality, however. What keeps our patients healthy and our clients impressed is our dedication to the highest quality medicine and a tailored health plan for each pet. We only hire CVTs for our nursing staff and they're proud to use their skills to educate our clients and dote on our patients. We also encourage our techs to focus their skills in their areas of passion, and hopefully even pursue a VTS in their chosen specialty.
