Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center, Inc. is offering a one year Internal Medicine fellowship to qualified candidates. The desired start date would be June 1, 2018 and end on May 31, 2019.
The requirements for this position are completion of one year of an internship or one year of work experience in an equine practice. We are looking for someone compassionate about providing the best possible care to the clients and patients and committed to learning and performing at the highest level of veterinary medicine. Our case load is varied and encompasses all breeds and types of horses from central and southern California.
Initially you would be working under the direct supervision of Dr. Erin Byrne, DACVIM and independently once you’ve become familiar with our facility and staff. You would also assist in teaching and supervising our interns as well as preparing case presentations for rounds. Emergency duties would include in-hospital case admissions and management as well as some shared field emergency duties. A current California veterinary license is required.
