VCA Canada Calgary Animal Referral & Emergency Centre (CARE) is seeking an experienced General Manager to join our current hospital leadership team. Located in Calgary, Alberta, we are the largest multi-specialty, 24 hour emergency referral hospital in Calgary. CARE is currently undergoing a 3,000 sq. ft. expansion and full renovation to its clinical space providing many modern upgrades including onsite MRI, CT, and 5 surgical suites. This is a great opportunity for an experienced, motivated individual with a desire to contribute and grow in his/her career path.
As our ideal Candidate, you have:
5+ years of professional management, preferably in the medical or veterinary field
Must have direct experience managing more than 20 employees
Strong leadership skills combined with a positive team player attitude to enable our teams to flourish
Excellent organizational skills which allow you to stay focused and work under pressure
Duties include but are not limited to: oversight of finances/budget, human resources, client services, public relations, and marketing. Lead, coach, and direct high performing teams of 75-125 employees, creating an environment of trust, respect and enthusiasm. The General Manager will also play a key role with the operations team in evaluating hospital performance, optimizing business growth and developing innovative marketing strategies.
